Matt - Brindle Heath - Trumpet

Matt adopts a friendly professional approach while maintaining a sensitive awareness to student's needs and ability. He is very positive, polite and extremely patient. He is an articulate communicator who can explain and demonstrate complex material in a way to make it easier to understand. He is always supportive while setting high standards during his teaching. Matt has that rare quality amongst teachers, the ability to both enthuse and inspire his students. I am very privileged to have him for a tutor.

I've been taking weekly lessons from Matt for five months. These have been well judged, and nicely adapted to my initial enthusiastic incompetence. Matt started from the basics and worked up smoothly to the point where I am now able to contribute to, and enjoy band rehearsals. Lessons with Matt have been enjoyable and very effective. I am happy to recommend Matt as a patient, friendly, and very professional teacher of brass wind instruments.
