About Milly
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have 15 years teaching experience with children and adults of all levels from beginners to advanced. I am a classically trained pianist graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, but I also have a strong jazz/ blues and popular music background. Music Theory, Musicianship and Aural training is also taught. All students are more than welcome, whether you want to learn the piano and complete the grades, preparing for a recital or a school concert, starting off as a composer or just want to learn for the fun and enjoyment.
15 years teaching experience privately in the UK in schools, colleges and music studios.
I now teach either from home in Hampton Court or at my students houses so I have more flexibility around home and family life and balanced with being a music educator.

My teaching is always evolving, I am consistently assessing and reassessing my methods, attending conferences, workshops and courses to keep my work fresh and current. I have a passion for teaching and seeing my students grow and improve and that is why I love my job and have had such a high success rate.
- How much do you charge?
£35 per hour at home, £40 in students home. I offer trial lessons as I feel it is important that my students feel comfortable with me and visa versa, learning is very much a two way street between teacher and pupil. I also do not tie students into having to book lots of lessons i.e.: 10 sessions minimum, and am happy to teach on an ad hoc basis or scheduled weekly/ bi weekly lessons depending on my students needs.
- Where do you teach?
I teach either at home in Hampton Court or at my students houses. Will travel all over South West London, Teddington, Twickenham, Richmond, Epsom, Esher, Woking, Chertsey, Kingston upon Thames.
- When are you available?
I teach 7 days a week. I have many happy students who progress and learn in a positive and rewarding way making the process of learning enjoyable and successful. All lessons are focused on what my students wish to learn and are designed to enable them to achieve their dreams and goals. I look forward to hearing from any prospective new students and please feel free to call and have a chat.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and and levels welcome, I also have experience with Special Needs.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Whatever their requirements, exams, recitals etc.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
My teaching methods vary as I understand that even student is an individual and has different needs and ways of learning and it is my job to strive to incorporate my own set of specialist skills and marry them with what teaching method is best suited for my students.
