About Nathan
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught Classical Piano and Music Theory since 2011, working with students from a wide range of ages, standards and musical backgrounds. In particular, I teach technique and correct posture, paying close attention to detail and precision.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a DBS (Enhanced disclosure) that was carried out in 2019
- Where and with whom did you train?
I began studying Classical Piano at the age of 6 and worked my way up to training with a concert pianist in London in 2008.

An inspirational and highly qualified teacher of piano and composition with deep subject knowledge and highly developed musical technique. Whilst maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable teaching environment, Nathan focuses on developing the student’s posture, technique and musical interpretation through a holistic teaching style. He is determined to deliver every student a very high standard of musical education.

I teach Classical Piano, Music Theory and various styles of Composition.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Piano Teaching Diploma (DipABRSM) that I took at the Royal College of Music. I also have Grade 8 on both the Piano and the Violin. Furthermore, I studied Classical Composition for a year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, after my first degree. I also have a BSc in physics from Imperial College.

Classical Piano, Music Theory and Composition lessons: £48 per hour

I teach in students' homes.

I am available throughout the week and weekend to teach.

I teach all ages.

I prepare students for the ABRSM & Trinity Exam syllabuses: Piano, Music theory, Pop/Rock piano and Composition.
