- I am committed to teaching English at all levels, to students of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds. I consider the requirements of individual learners and build programmes around each individual to support their needs.

- English, and Beginner to Advanced 'Cello

- B Ed Hons in English/ TEFL Certificate / Cello Teaching Diploma LTCL .
- What kind of experience do you have?
- My experience is extensive. I have taught English and 'cello to private students of all ages, as well as teaching in a number of language schools in my early years. For the last ten years I have been a teacher and co-ordinator of Music and English as a Second language in primary schools in London.
- How much do you charge?
- £30 an hour/£50 for 2 hours within central London / + travel costs (generally a bus card for the day @ £4.00) Any further distances, out of Zone 2, add another £5 Discounts come with block bookings and/or group rates
- Where do you teach?
- Generally at home, but would consider a radius of 4-5 miles from where I am based.
- When are you available?
- Recently self employed, so have availability, including after school and holidays.

- All ages
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- From SATs to degree level including ESOL : Cambridge First Certificate and Proficiency
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I had been cleared by the school I worked in, until January 2012.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a member of the General Teaching Council and of the National Union of Teachers.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained at Westminster College, Oxford, then at International House in London for the TEFL qualification. In my early days in London, I studied with the eminent cellists Eileen Croxford RCM; Stefan Popov Guildhall; and Christopher Bunting RCM.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- Currently I am teaching two A level students for their AS2 Literature strand, a GCSE English student , an 11+ student and a Year 5 foreign national who needs to improve her Literacy, a student for the Cambridge Proficiency exam and another for IELTS.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I love teaching and many students are still in touch with me, years after completing their studies. I adapt my teaching style to suit your personal needs, playing to your strengths and building confidence in areas of weakness. I enjoy teaching Literature and Language and can help you enjoy the subject if you are struggling!
