- To give an example of the wide range of my students, I teacher a doctor the baroque violin and viola. A passionate elderly beginner Jewish folk melodies on the violin. A group of 3 brothers aged 13 to 15 and a 19 year old student learning music for the first time.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- My approach to teaching is flexible to the age group and standard of the pupil.
Young children who are beginners will be taught the parts of a violin (or viola,) how to look after their instrument and will learn music through recognisable nursery rhymes and easy to remember simple melodies.
In group lessons, children have the opportunity to work together and help each other develop as well as play pieces together and learn to work in a chamber music environment.
Intermediate and Advanced level students can work towards ABRSM grades if that's what they wish to achieve. Or I can help to develop technique and musicianship through scales, studies and pieces which work with each pupils own personal ability.
