- Hi, I've been teaching AT for nearly 20 years. It's given me so much joy and insight, and I've met such wonderful peope through my work, I feel very moved. It's very special stuff.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach the Alexander Technique.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I am a Member of Society of Teachers of Alexander Technique. Reiki 2; Rose Bruford College Diploma; Certificate of Education (Qualified teacher status in UK); NLP certificate.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- 19 years of teaching AT to individuals in businesses, in the City, privately, and in theatre schools and colleges, mentoring other new Alexander Teachers, assisting on AT trainings.
- How much do you charge?
- 50 for 45 minutes in UK, 35 Euros for 40 minutes in Greece. Group fees on request. Concessions for unemployed, retired, low income etc are available.
- Where do you teach?
- At my home, at the Quaker Meeting House in Old St. EC1, ArtsEd Theatre School in Chiswick W4, and on the Greek Island of Alonnisos during the summer months.
- When are you available?
- Available early evenings, some day times, during college terms. In the summer holidays I'm available in Greece, island of Alonissos, daytimes up till 8pm.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Any age, any level.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- STAT and UCU.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- Rose Bruford School of Speech and Drama; Centre for Training and Development (Gorman/Edis) North London.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- There is a mixture of people who come for relief from RSI, back pain and postural training; those who come for the practical enlightenment and philosophy of free will embodied in the principles; and lots of theatre students who use the work to help them transform into other characters, improve their presence on stage and their voice.
