About Peter
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have sixteen years' teaching experience and have taught both Business and General English in Turkey, Poland and the UK. I have a strong background in Business English, providing both in-company, classroom-based, and online training. Business English components have included language for meetings, presentation skills, negotiating, current affairs, telephoning skills, and many more. My students tend to be highly-skilled professionals from companies such as BP, British American Tobacco and Ferrovial. I have also delivered IELTS preparation courses as well as FCE. My more recent experience has included teaching ESOL at entry level 1 and 2 at a local community college.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
My current students include business professionals from the oil & gas and the engineering sector. One student is learning in order to improve his listening skills, particularly for meetings and discussions, so that he can become more accustomed to natural, fast-flowing speech and hearing various accents. Another student, who I teach via Skype, needs to practise his conversation skills and wants to learn more about British culture(s) and social customs. Another student has lessons that focus on informal, colloquial language. I am also about to begin a two-week intensive course with a Russian student who needs writing skills. The nationalities of the other students are Spanish, Polish, and Chinese.

- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA (hons) in Literature & Philosophy. My teaching qualifications are: CELTA, DELTA and MA in English Language Teaching & Applied Linguistics from King's College London.
- How much do you charge?
My fees depend on the type of training required. They start at £20 per hour for General English, rising to £30 per hour for Business English. Rates are for a one-to-one basis. The initial consultation meeting, which would include an assessment and needs analysis, are free of charge. I do not charge for any travel expenses. Please note that the minimum lesson length is 1.5 hours face-to-face and 1 hour for Skype lessons.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in South East London, which means I can travel to Woolwich, Plumstead, Greenwich, Dartford, Bexleyheath, Charlton, Blackheath, and Lewisham. I can also deliver training in Central London, The City, West End and Canary Wharf. I am able to teach in your homes, offices or (quiet) cafes, wherever suits you. Do not hesitate to contact me for any other locations as I may be able to help.
- When are you available?
I am available Monday to Friday, from 9am up to 8pm, all year round.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach adults only (18+). The levels taught range from beginner to advanced.
