About Fernando
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have played with orchestras as a soloist, in musicals, in bands as a keyboardist, and many different ensembles. I am also very prepared to be accompanist. I conduct a choir and I am also its pianist and arranger of the songs. I belong to a musical theater company that works with many children (I was one of them many years ago) and for that reason I have always been used to work with young people.

I am very keen to share my passion for the piano with my students. My duty is to supply enthusiasm for music, and also to help the student to be able to keep the motivation even when they are not with a teacher.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach mainly classical piano from beginners to advanced, and jazz for beginners to intermediate. I am also happy to teach any other kind of modern music like musical theatre, pop/rock, etc. and how to make piano arrangements of songs. I can teach how to learn music by ear, improvisation and composition (in classical and modern music) among other things, which will help to make the journey of learning music more enjoyable. All those skills are incredibly helpful in the musical world and especially in the development of the hearing in young people, no matter if you are a serious pianist or you just want to have fun with the piano. I also offer Spanish lessons, because I am Spanish and it is very helpful to learn languages with native people.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I got the Professional Grade in Ciudad Real (Spain) in 2012 in the "Marcos Redondo Conservatoire" and I am currently studying the BMus (Hons) Classical Piano with Peter Bithell in the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, in London (UK).
- How much do you charge?
£25 per hour
£20 per 45 min
NO travel costs.
- Where do you teach?
I am very happy to teach at students' homes. I can teach anywhere in about 10km from Central London.
- When are you available?
I'm available on Wednesdays and weekends. Different slots in other days could be possible. From April I will have many more completely free days.
This year I'll be in London from the 9th of January until the 15th of July, with 3 weeks break in the school holidays of April. After that I will come in September and I will follow the scholar calendar.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age and any level of classical piano and Spanish. Any age for jazz, but mainly beginners or intermediate. For all the others, anyone interested in enjoying learning music.
