About Yue Zhou (Joe)
- What kind of experience do you have?
Piano:
I have been playing the piano for 18 years, and teaching as a private tutor since undergraduate years. I understand different levels of piano playing as well as the techniques for more efficient practice and advanced performance.
Mandarin Chinese:
I was born in China and have maintained my Mandarin and Cantonese fresh and fluent. I have been teaching literacy in London Mandarin School for 6 years.
English:
I taught English as a foreign language to undergraduates every summer break in China.

I am currently a PhD student at King's College London, and a teacher at London Mandarin School teaching GCSE Chinese (Edexcel) to pupils aged 12-17. I have been playing the piano for 18 years and also teaching occasionally.

I teach:
Piano to pupils aged 10-17 (for fun or for ABRSM/Trinity Guidhall grades 1-8)
Mandarin Chinese and English (both spoken and written) to all ages.
GCSE/A level Economics (across all exam boards) including exam techniques.

Apart from the qualifications mentioned, I am also a recipient of:
ABRSM Diploma in Music Performance (with Piano as the principal instrument)
LRSM (Licentiate of Royal Schools of Music) in Music Performance
GSMD (Guildhall School of Music and Drama) Higher Education Diploma in Classical Piano

- Where do you teach?
I teach:
- at home in New Cross Gate
- Goldsmith's College, University of London (Lewisham Way, New Cross, London SE14 6NW)
However, I am willing to travel within South West London and Lewisham/Greenwich area.
- When are you available?
Home teaching starts on Monday from 10 am onward.
Teaching at Goldsmith's College, University of London starts on Saturday from 1 pm onward.
For traveling elsewhere, time and day during the week is subject to availability.
