- I am a professional bass and tenor trombone player and brass teacher. I regularly play with many of the top orchestras in the UK and abroad.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium and tuba and can demonstrate on them all. I also teach theory of music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BMus(Hons) 2:1 from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a PgDip (Distinction) from the Royal Academy of Music.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have many years teaching experience teaching all ages and abilities. I am currently the lower brass teacher at St. George College, Weybridge and brass teacher for Dagenham and Barking Community Music Service. Recently I was the bass trombone teacher at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and I used to be the lower brass teacher for the Merton Music Foundation. I have taken workshops and masterclasses in many places including for Derbyshire Music Service and the music conservatoire in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £30 per hour and this includes my travel.
- Where do you teach?
- I live in Surbiton and am happy to teach in Kingston, Twickenham, Richmond, South West London and parts of Surrey. I can travel to the students house or they can come to me for lessons during the day.
- When are you available?
- I have a very flexible schedule and am willing to try and make myself available whenever is best for the student.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages and all levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I can prepare students for the ABRSM or Trinity-Guildhall exams. I can also prepare students for auditions. However, if the pupil isn't interested in taking exams this is also fine.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes
