I am Rosanne Duckworth, a trumpet player of 15 years and a student at the Royal Academy of Music. I teach a variety of brass instruments and tutor students of all ages and abilities, on a 1-2-1 basis.

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach lessons in brass performance - trumpet, cornet, tenor horn, euphonium and tuba.
Tell me about your qualifications.
Having completed my Bachelor of Music (Hons) at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2011, I am now studying for a Masters in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London. I have ABRSM Grade 8 qualification for the Trumpet and Music Theory.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have experience teaching brass within primary and secondary schools. This has included private 1-2-1 tuition, group coaching and educational workshops, for students of varying abilities.
How much do you charge?
I charge £15 for 30 minutes, and £25 for 1 hour.
Where do you teach?
I am based in Cricklewood (NW2) and would take lessons at my home, but I am equally happy to travel to neighbouring areas in Northern and Central London.
When are you available?
I am generally very flexible and would be happy to teach throughout the week and weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Age - I will teach students from the age of 6, to adults.
Ability - Trumpet: Beginner - Advanced
Cornet: Beginner - Advanced
Tenor Horn: Beginner - Grade 8
Euphonium: Beginner - Grade 5
Tuba: Beginner - Grade 5
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Whilst I do not have a CRB certificate, I am happy to acquire one on request.
Where and with whom did you train?
During my BMus (Hons) at Birmingham Conservatoire, I studied and taken masterclasses with: Alan Thomas, Paul Mayes, David Blackadder, Michael Laird, Rex Richardson, Hakan Hardernberger, Kristian Steenstrup and Brian Thomson.
Since studying at the Royal Academy of Music, I have studied and taken masterclasses with: Mark David, Paul Beniston, John Hutchins, Rod Franks, Philippe Schartz, Reinhold Friedrich.
Do you have a personal message for students?
With 15 years of experience, I am a very confident, enthusiastic and passionate musician and teacher. I want to encourage those with a love of music and performance to take up lessons, as it can help students in areas such as confidence, artistic ability, patience, listening, attitude, organisation, behaviour, well-being and working within a team. Whether its just an interest to take up a new hobby, or the dream of becoming a professional musician, I would love to show you what brass performance is all about!
