About Abigail
- What kind of experience do you have?
As a performer i have been educated at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester and also in the National Youth Choirs. My musical experience has led me to perform in prestigious festivals and venues in UK and abroad such as the BBC Proms, The Barbican, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Malta National Opera etc. Most recently i was selected to perform in the Junior Kathleen Ferrier Competition and recorded a CD for NAXOS lable with the London based Blossom Street Choir.
Having been exposed to fantastic teaching and masterclasses throughout my time at Chetham's, National Youth Choirs, and now at RNCM, I always knew i had a keen passion to become a teacher. With this i spent a month teaching in a School in the Middle-East (Bahrain) and have since taught numerous outreach days at UK Primary Schools. I have also had the privilege of teaching privately and leading workshops for both children and adults, most notably alongside my Blossom Street Choir colleagues at Alton Towers!

Hi! My name is Abigail Williams and I'm currently studying classical singing and performing at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am very happy to teach classical singing to all voice types and non-classical singing such as pop, folk, jazz and musical theatre. These incorporate all aspects of singing; translation, articulation, projection and diction, performance confidence, and all aspects of technical singing.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
Currently I am studying towards an Undergraduates degree (BMus) in Singing and have GCSE and A level qualifications in Music and many other subjects.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30/ hour for singing lessons and £25/hour for academic music lessons. I am happy to travel within the areas stated. I am prepared to travel further afield but this may incur a separate cost for the travel (this can be agreed via email beforehand!)
- Where do you teach?
I can teach in central Manchester if you are willing to travel to me. If not, I am prepared to travel to you, within reason.
- When are you available?
My timetable is flexible and I will arrange it so that the lesson times suit you best!
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am very willing and enthusiastic to teach ALL levels from beginner to advanced musicians.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I will start by assessing what you would like to work on and form my own methods. However, I would use the ABRSM graded syllabus as I believe this is a fantastic, methodical way to approach repertoire.
