I have recently retired from full time teaching and now tutor and do supply teaching to all ages.

What kind of experience do you have?
Over 40 years in state and independent schools in the South East. 5 years experience of adult education at night school.
I have been tutoring since 1964 and gained excellent results. I make some of my own materials and gear lessons to the student's individual needs.
Different students have different preferred ways of learning and it is important to find out what works best for each individual - whether visual, hearing, reading or by experience.
How much do you charge?
I charge a minimum of £30 during school hours plus petrol costs. £25 for GCSE/lower secondary outside school hours.
Where do you teach?
I can teach at my own home or travel to Woking, Byfleet, Walton, Weybridge, Chertsey, Virginia Water, Ascot, Chobham, Cobham,
When are you available?
Mainly after school or Saturdays. I will take on clients for two hour sessions during the school day.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Most of my experience is with secondary students and adults, but I have had a fair amount of Primary experience over the last two years.
I do not recommend formal language lessons for children under 9.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
French and Italian and Religious Studies to Advanced Level. Beginners German to GCSE. Some English.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes, from February this year.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
We have skype, but have not yet tutored directly on line. I have made individual power point presentations for pupils and sent them.

Where and with whom did you train?
London University.

Tell me about some of your current students.
I have just finished tutoring an adult student relocating to German and am delighted he is able to communicate and understand German after only 5 months.
My Year 10/11 French student has moved up from fail to A star in his mocks after only 5 months.
My last group of RS students all got A s and A stars.
The secretary of a firm where I tutored said I always go the extra mile.
Do you have a personal message for students?
It's never too late to learn. You will be able to succeed.
