About Molly
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have vast experience as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. As a soloist, I was a prize winner at the International Violin Competition of Avignon in 2011, and I have been invited to perform concertos with amateur orchestras throughout the UK. I have performed in various chamber groups at London venues including Cadogan Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, and at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Since beginning my studies London, I have played as a tutti violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra. I am also regularly asked to lead the Royal College of Music Symphony, Philharmonic and New Perspectives Orchestras. Internationally, I was part of the Castleton Festival Orchestra in Virginia USA in 2012, and Travelled to Sapporo, Japan last summer to play in the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra. In the Spring, I will be touring Europe for two weeks with the European Union Youth Orchestra.
Whilst at the Royal College, I completed the "Art of Teaching" course in my second year, and also learned how to engage and work with young children in schools through outreach projects. I am very experienced with teaching young beginners and adults alike.

No, but I am happy to apply for one if required.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I am currently studying with Maciej Rakowski as a Scholar at the Royal College of Music. Previously, I studied with Jan Repko at the RCM and at Chetham's school of music, and Nina Martin and Xander Van Vliet at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music. I have taken part in masterclasses with Nicola Benedetti, Gordon Back, Stephan Barratt-Due, Kazuki Sawa, Peter Zazofsky and Robert Rozek.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Violin and chamber music
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently in the first year of my Master of Performance degree at the Royal College of Music, having completed my Bachelor of Music degree in July 2014 with a First, also at the RCM. I was awarded distinctions on the violin in all ABRSM grades 1-8, and I also have grade 8 piano.
- How much do you charge?
60 minutes - £30
45 minutes - £25
30 minutes - £20
I would only charge travel expenses for teaching in areas outside zone 3.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Gipsy Hill, Lambeth, but I am willing to travel to surrounding South East areas, and also West Central London.
- When are you available?
Generally speaking, I am free weekdays in the afternoon and evenings, and all day at the weekends. As a freelance musician I do not have a fixed schedule so I cannot absolutely guarantee a fixed lesson time week to week. However, I can promise to do my utmost to reschedule lessons at another convenient time for you if a problem arises.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all levels from absolute beginner to post grade 8 standard. I teach adults of all ages, and normally teach children from the age of five, however I would certainly be willing to teach a younger child in exceptional circumstances.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I would usually recommend working through the ABRSM grade exams, however I am also happy to help students work towards any personal goals they may have for enjoyment and enrichment.
