About Jorge

I have taught private violin lessons to children from 4 to 13 and music lessons to big groups of aged 12 - 16

- Where and with whom did you train?
In Spain I studied violin with Immaculada Escrivà -Isabel Vila's former pupil-, Jordán Tejedor -Mauricio Fuks's former pupil- and Catalin Bucataru. Both Isabel Vila and Mauricio Fuks were pupils of Ivan Galamian, the mythical violin pedagogue, so I could say that I am the third generation of Galamian's school.
I have also attended master classes from Kevork Mardirossian, Oliver Wille, Juan Luis Gallego, Miguel Borrego -leader of the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra- or Katy Sebastyen.

I am currently studying with John Crawford, who played in BBC Orchestra and is an expert in Alexander Technique.

I am a passionate violinist who wants to spread his passion for violin and music to any level pupils.
Spanish is my mother tongue, so I can teach it right from the beginning or help you to improve it, always with fun.

I teach Violin, Music Theory and Spanish
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently studying MMus at Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
I was educated in Spain, so I got my A-Level grade back there. Spanish was always one of my favorite subjects and my marks were always A or more.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour for violin and £20 for Spanish and Music Theory.
- Where do you teach?
At your place or via Skype (Spanish only)
- When are you available?
Weekdays, weekends are also negotiable.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any age or level. I have experience in both private private lessons and large groups.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I am here to help you to learn. You build your own knowledge. My function as a teacher is to find out your learning style, adequate to it and help you to build your own knowledge. There is nothing you can not learn.
