About Clara

- What kind of experience do you have?

I am an enthusiastic and experienced teacher. Since 2005, I have given private lessons to all ages and abilities as well as lessons in groups in schools and chamber music coaching. I have run outreach projects for children and in different community centres. I am experienced with different teaching methods, such as Suzuki method, ABRSM, Alexander..., and I am part of the RCM teaching service.

I am a graduate RCM foundation scholar studying violin with Itzhak Rashkovsky at the Royal College of music in London. I have started the violin in Paris with russian teacher Larissa Kolos. I also studied with Thibault Vieux, and Florin Szygeti, and I regularly work under the guidance of Fanny Clamagirand. I followed Musicology courses at the Paris-Sorbonne University and I am currently taking a Master in Performance course at the Royal College of Music.

I followed master classes with International renowned teachers such as Ivry Gitlis, Stephan Picard, Chaim Taub, Pavel Vernikov, Jan Repko, Marianne Piketty, Felix Andrievsky, Qian Zou, or Serguei Kravtchenko.

I played as a soloist and in different chamber music formations in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece, Israel and I won first prize in Rhodes International Music Festival Competition in 2010, and in November 2014, I won Second Prize of the Cziffra Fundation, in Senlis, France.

I had been part of many different orchestral projects in France and in the UK, and had been trained by members of the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, French National Orchestra and Paris Opera Orchestra, and had worked with world-class conductors such as Martin André, Thierry Fischer and Sir Roger Norrington. As a recipient of the Sidney Perry Award, thanks to the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, I have been invited to play in Klösters, Switzerland, with the Philharmonia orchestra in December 2014.

As a chamber musician, I have performed in many different venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, King's Place, St Martin's in the Fields and the Royal Festival Hall. I have worked with fine chamber music players such as Miguel Da Silva, the Sacconi Quartet and Kristof Richter, and I have been part of the Cosmopolitan quartet since 2011, with whom I appeared on BBC Radio London.

In addition to my performances as a classical musician, I have also played with high profile artists, such as Frank Turner, Jack Savoretti, or Patrice Bart-Williams, and I participated to the Rod Stewart UK Tour 2013. I also performed on the Italian Radio RAI Trieste in August 2013 as part of the final concert of the New Virtuosi Festival, and my upcoming recitals will include performances at the Regent Hall and the Victoria & Albert museum.
