About Lauren
- What kind of experience do you have?
Back in Canada, I taught students ranging from beginner to advanced. Since moving to London, I have been hired to teach at a music school where my pupils very in age and levels of playing. I have trained many students for their music examinations. I am also comfortable teaching all levels of theory.
Chamber music has always been a big part of my life. In Canada, I have played in the Toronto Youth Orchestra, The National Youth Orchestra of Canada, The McGill Symphony Orchestra. I currently play in the Bartholdy Quartet, which is made up of players from around the globe. My Quartet was recently chosen as one of the winners of the Davey-Poznanski Quartet Scheme.

I am a professional violinist recently graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the Royal Academy of Music. I am a dedicated to nurturing each of my pupils playing and encouraging them to grow as a musician.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am looking for students of all ages who are ambitious to study the violin. I aslo teach chamber music and theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I completed my Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from McGill University in Canada. I recently graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the Royal Academy of Music in violin. When I was studying in Canada, I completed all of the Royal Conservatory Examinations for violin. This also included theory and history examinations.
- How much do you charge?
I offer a FREE 30 minute trial lesson. My fee for half an hour lessons is £20 and £30 for 1 hour (which includes travel costs)
- Where do you teach?
Convenience for my students is a priority to me, as I know many families have busy schedules. I am willing to travel throughout London to students' homes or teach in my own home.
- When are you available?
My schedule is always flexible - mornings and early evenings are best during the weekdays. On weekends I can teach during the day.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach the violin to all ages. I have taught students ranging from beginner to advanced.
