About Clémence
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching violin/viola and piano pivately for the past 9 years both in France and in the UK.
I have been working in a music school in London for two years.
I had some teaching training during my performance degree and received the LLCM diploma with first class in 2012.
I have been giving one-to-one tuitions mostly as this is the way I prefer working.I find the progress quicker, and it gives me the possibility to adapt my teaching to the student's needs. I also gave few group class ,and had experience teaching in a class at school.
I care a lot about posture and aim for the freedom of movement when playing!

I have a CRBDBS check 2012.

Professional french female violinist (hear me play in video) teach the violin, viola, theory from beginners to grade 8 and piano up to grade 3.
Also teach french, or we can combine and do music lessons in french! You choose!

French litterature degree (Paris-Sorbonne 2009)
Diploma of the end of conservatoire: DEM (2006)
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 for 1 hour of violin, viola, piano lessons if the student come to my place. If I have to travel, a maximum of £5 will be added for the travel expenses.
For french lessons, I charge £25 per hour, with a max of £5 extra if I have to travel.
Consultation lesson in any of the subject taught will last 45 mn, including a time for a little discussion with the child and the parent(s). The consulattion lesson is £10.
- Where do you teach?
I prefer teaching at home, but if it suits you better, we can arrange for me to come at yours.
I teach in North London (N2), also East Finchley, Islington, Dalston, Central London, Hackney, Hampstead areas, also around Wimbledon/ South kensigton area.
- When are you available?
I am available most days of the week, I will try to keep the same time and day as much as possible from week to week, but as a professional performer, I may have to arrange and swope times and days from time to time.If it is better for you, we can change lesson time from week to week also as I am flexible.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
For violin and viola and theory, I teach from very young beginners (4 years old) to grade 8. (no maximum age restriction!)
For piano, I teach from beginners to Grade 4.
French: beginners, help with homework/GCSE.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Grades in music.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I like to adapt my teaching to each individual, I am an uplifted character and I hope to pass on the joy of music making to my students.
I am keen to give the best basic (posture, intonation, listening skills) to my students so that they can make their own way later as professional or amator musicians.
