- I enjoy teaching Music (Violin, Piano and Music Theory). I am Italian and I also like helping people in learning the language, the grammar and the literature.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Violin, Piano, Music Theory and can also offer Italian lessons.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I started playing piano at the age of 5 with the renowned pianist Annamaria Cigoli, and then entered the Milan Conservatoire at the age of 9 and studied violin with Cinzia Barbagelata, alongside courses such as Piano, Orchestra, History of Music, Analysis and Choral singing. I am currently studying towards a degree in Music at Royal Holloway. I am part of the Royal Holloway String Quartet as well as several orchestras, including Royal Holloway Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras and University of London Symphony Orchestra (ULSO), where I hold a position in the committee.
From September 2012 I will be studying towards a MFA Creative Practice (Music) degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama, studying with Gina McCormack.
I have obtained qualifications in Italy of Music Theory, Violin and Piano Performance at the equivalent level of ABRSM Grade 8. - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience in private teaching with children and adults of all levels.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge 25 pounds an hour for Music lessons (15 for half an hour) and 30 pounds an hour for Italian lesson (20 for half an hour), with extra 5 pounds for travelling.
- Where do you teach?
- I prefer teaching at home, but I can also teach anywhere in the SE1 area.
- When are you available?
- I am fairly flexible with all days of the week, but I will have to check my timetable in order to arrange lessons. This can be discussed at any time and can vary according to my and the student's current situation.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach all ages and levels.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- No.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- Oral and conversational lessons in Italian can be done online, according to the student's needs. Fees are 15 pounds for half an hour and 20 for an hour.
