- Personal Message
- It doesn't matter WHERE you are - we can help.
Our small, personal, LIVE study groups are provided on the net.
Your child starts their day at 9.30 (UK time) for 3 classes, with breaks. Students and teacher discuss lesson topics together.
- Our live daytime classes on the net cover all the key academic subjects for 11 -17s. Plus our weekly seminar in Philosophy and Society.
This is a complete academic education at secondary level, with social skills training.an educatiion partnership with the family.
We give strict, though friendly support in courtesy and social skills, both for their own sake, and because without good behaviour classes collapse.
Our aims are firstly happy, confident students, secondly efficient study skills, and thirdly high exam grades at IGCSE. (The IGCSE exams are accepted worldwide as better quality exams than ordinary GCSEs).
Our standards of study are much higher than ordinary schools. But don't worry, we are expert at helping your child reach our standards.
- Ages and Levels Covered
- 11 to 17 years only. Please note younger children find one hour classes too demanding even though we do have long breaks for refreshment.
- Opening Times
- 09.30 - 14.00 / 9.30 - 2pm Three classes of 1 hour, with breaks. Monday to Thursday, three school terms with the usual half terms and holidays.
Two weekly supervised homework sessions to push those who have problems getting work completed.
Transcripts of classes for absent students.
Plenty of personal support for homework, or other issues by telephone or instant messenger. Personal support continues to 19.00/ 7pm.
Email support usually same day replies.
- Tuition Fees
- £198 per month. £660 per term. Discount £1,880 per year. Second child discount £150 per month.
- About Us
- We are a small personal learning community. Classes are strictly limited to a maximum of 15, though usually 8 - 12. Because we are small we can be flexible to what your child needs.
Our teachers are dedicated, friendly, but know when to be firm on discipline. All except one of us have university degrees as well as many years working experience in the standard world of employment. We have one teacher who is not university educated but is superb at handling junior level students. We are parents so we understand parent anxieties.
Our range of experience includes home education, tutoring children and adults, conventional schools, business, engineering, charity and community work. Parents often comment that they like the way we train students in organising their work efficiently, and in independent, critical thinking.
EXAMS Our record on exam achievement is excellent. We agree an exam plan with student and family which focuses on 5 - 8 subjects,so as to gain high grades A* - C. (A mass of lower grades in lots of subjects is a waste of time.) We do get some grade Ds but not often.
We work enthusiastically with a high flyer student aiming at the maximum, and also with restricted programme students whose personal best is 1 - 3 subjects.
- Special Offers
- Second child discount £150 per month. (Standard fees are £198 per month)
- On the internet all you need is to start up your computer, and go to our website.
