- Highly experienced native, qualified Italian teacher. My field is mainly GCSE and A level.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Italian.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I am a native qualified Italian teacher with a degree in Italian, English and French from Rome University.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been teaching Italian in the UK for many years at all levels from beginners to post grad and the third age. I have taught in schools, colleges of further education and universities. Currently, I am teaching fast track Italian at a sixth form college in a very prestigious local school. I also have much experience in private tuition. I have recently gone part time and would like to take on more work.
In the past I have also taught interpreting and translation. I am also very knowledgeable about Italian literature and current affairs. - How much do you charge?
- £32 per hour. I would charge £50 for 2 hours. I can also teach small groups at an agreed rate.
- Where do you teach?
- At home in central Guildford.
- When are you available?
- All day Tuesday and Thursday. Other times by arrangement.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages and levels but particularly young students wishing to take A level Italian

- N/A
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a UK qualified teacher.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- Rome University plus local UK schools.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I teach fast track Italian ab initio to A level in 2 years. My students are top linguists and very often they gain places to read Italian at Oxford and Cambridge.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Studying a language is hard work but very rewarding, particularly if the language is Italian ! My students all fall in love with Italian. When you put your heart in the language, you don't feel it's hard work.
