Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Primary Literacy and Maths, and preparation for 11+ entrance exams.
I also teach Singing and Trumpet.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a B.A (hons) Degree in Music (University of Salford) - Malcolm Arnold Brass Prize and Goff Richards Performance Prize
P.G.C.E (Primary) Liverpool Hope University
Q.T.S Qualification (Qualified Teacher Status)

What kind of experience do you have?
I have three years experience working as a Year 3/4/5 Class Teacher in St. Augustines Primary School (Manchester)
2 years experience working as a Class Music teacher in an S.E.N school in Manchester.
I also worked in a range of Primary schools as a supply class teacher and as a peripatetic brass teacher.

For the past 8 years i=I have worked as a professional musician (trumpet and singing) playing in West End shows such as Chicago, The Rat Pack, and orchestras such as The BBC Concert Orchestra and The Ronnie Scotts Jazz Orchestra (my website has more information!)

How much do you charge?
I charge £25.00 an hour for all academic subjects and £30.00 for Singing and Trumpet tuition. Consultation singing and trumpet lessons 30 mins £15.00
I charge £10.00 an hour for each extra child in academic lessons.
I have a lovely teaching room in my house but am willing to travel at a rate of 30p a mile or a negotiated amount.

Where do you teach?
I can teach at home (no pets or other children about!) or travel. I live very close to Watford, Northwood, Bushey and Rickmansworth. Very close to shops so you could drop off your child and do your shopping!

When are you available?
I am available most daytimes and early evenings. I sometimes have to go on tour with my music but this only occurs for a couple of weeks and I am able to give lots of notice and even find you a replacement if applicable.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach children from the age of 6 to 11 all of the national curriculum to all levels.
I can teach beginners to advanced of ALL ages trumpet and singing.

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare students for SATS exams, entrance exams.

Grades (jazz), University entrance, Final Exams for trumpet and singing

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Musicians Union.
